About
Arts & Culture involves fostering democratic ideals, civic-mindedness, and political action through education and reflection. Art & Culture Civic Actions provide opportunities to explore civic engagement themes. Such actions expose students to cultural literacy and help them understand the societal institutions that shape cultures. By integrating civic engagement into the arts and cultures, students can analyze art as social commentary, cultural property, political influence, and a means of learning from the past to shape the future.
